The Tigers improve to 78-66 and have shockingly managed to win five of their last six. They currently sit 3.5 games behind The Evil Empire for the AL Wild Card slot.

Jerkwheat has been holding back a little bit of aggression. It’s not good to hold in aggression.
I was visiting family in MI and took my mom and sister to the game. It was my sisters first major league game and my moms first since going to Milwaukee Braves games in her youth.
All during Sheff’s at bat, I kept saying “they have to pitch to Sheff, they don’t want to pitch to Maggs”, but Janssen refused to throw him a strike. For 85% of the Tigers fans in the stand, it was a foregone conclusion that the big Tilde was going to come through once Sheff got walked.
Great game.
